Mad Men

I am loving the 1960s style that has started to work it's way back in to the fashion industry.  If anyone has been watching the TV series Mad Men, you'll know what I'm talking about.  Christina Hendricks has been all over the fashion magazines recently with her fantastic figure and amazing on-set style.

Hendricks has taken her full figure and, without trying to sound like all the self-help books, shown us that we don't need to be stick thin! However, for those of us who feel a little more self concious in such a tight fitting outfit, and who probably don't want to attract so much male attention at the office, the general on-set style of January Jones (above left) is probably more appealing.  The tight bodices and full skirts make for a very elegant look, whilst still maintaining your modesty and mystery!

One particular designer label which has taken this look by storm is Louis Vuitton.  In all the magazines I have read recently, there are a number of double page spreads from the famous fashion label with fantastic new collections of dresses which exactly suit this style.

A bit pricey for my budget, but you can't deny these dresses are gorgeous!  How I would love to be able to dress like this for work every day. Think I've got a chance as an extra in Mad Men??...

We'll see.

For now, enjoy the blogs and I'll return soon with some more fabulous fashions.

Love
